The wire harness connecting the Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) and the Occupant Detection Sensor (ODS) control unit under the front passenger seat can experience relative movement which can cause wear and oxidization of the terminals and may cause interruption of the signal. My Infiniti 2001 I30 didn’t protect me enough in a car accident. The airbag didn’t came out when I crash the car in front of me. This lane stopped because was near to an exit. I was stopped, a car behind me didn’t see the line was stopped, he wanted to open to the next left lane but another car came very fast, he came back to my line and hit me at “freeway speed” in my trunk and I hit the minivan in front of me. I was crashed between 2 cars. The front air bags never came out. I hit my head and my breast. My injuries: I received head contusions I have gotten CT Scan and MRI. With the seat belt I hurt my left breast. I got MRI chest, the tissues are damaged. If the air bags were out, my body would be in the center position and the seat belt wouldn’t press too much my chest when it went toward front… as my head wouldn’t with the mirror and the door frame.
